Microsoft Outlook hides emails from view until you click the option to view more on Microsoft Exchange.
These messages still contribute to your mailbox size.
You can view these emails by scrolling the bottom of your selected folder i.e. Inbox and click the blue text - "Click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange"
You can now sort the emails by date/size and remove/archive any emails to reduce your mailbox size.
