Each mobile provider usually has a mobile app store, e.g. Android will use the google play store where as Apple uses it app store. The mobile providers varies in its quality assurance testing from platform to platform as such sometimes apps could be compromised and install malware and/or viruses on your device. to help guide you to making sure you device is secure we will update the list below of apps that are not approved to be installed on M2 devices. This list is subject to change at short notice.


Approve apps


All apps from the platforms default app store will be approved by default except where stated in the unapproved section below.

The below apps have been approved for installation on M2 devices from a unapproved store or from M2 and its partners directly

Unapproved apps


M2 have forbidden the following apps to be installed on a M2 device, where possible these apps will be forcefully removed by M2's Mobile Management system.


  • uTorrent
  • TorrDroid
  • Vuze Torrent Downloader



Rooted devices


Rooting is a method of installing an operating system on a mobile that is maintained by and external development community, this usually uses copyrighted software or may be done to bypass any restrictions enforced by the manufacturer. This software increases the possibility of security threats will be intentionally or accidentally introduced in the the base operating system.


Under no circumstances should M2's devices be 'rooted'.
